- I'm the founder and exec. dir. of Shaping Youth.org, a fledgling (but rapidly expanding) nonpartisan, nonprofit consortium dealing with media & marketing's impact on kids.
We blog about the good, the bad, and the ugly from the inside out, since many of us work within the entertainment industry or academic & digital sphere. Our org uses the same techniques targeting kids to COUNTER-MARKET toxic values being sold to youth and shift the momentum in a favorable direction via our hands-on games and life skills programs…We’re teaming with powerhouse thinkers and technologists to flip harmful messages into positive ones, using the power of media and marketing turned on itself…And we’re particularly anxious to explore the concept of embedding media literacy ‘in-world’ in a ‘living lab’ where we can impart life skills peer to peer in a fun, effective manner
