RezEd

The Alliance Virtual Library has been in Second Life now for two years. I would like to know what types of services you as educators would like to see at the library and how we can provide support to you and your faculty and students.

Currently, the reference desk at Info Island International offers 80 hours of live, in person reference per week from volunteer library staff and educators from around the world. Info International also has lots of great places for language learning and news of upcoming events and resources. We have several libraries on Info Island and Info International that have "collections" including sl books, websites, bibliographies and more. Cybrary City 1 and 2 offer places for libraries just getting started in Second Life and Eduislands 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 provide space and a learning community for educators who want to be located with others. Renaissance Island, Land of Lincoln, and Only Yesterday provide immersive learning opportunities for different periods of history. We have many working groups to get involved in and ongoing programs such as book discussions, art shows, live music, and lectures.

Let us know how we can provide new services and improve on those we offer!
